About

Jonathan De Vita

Jonathan De Vita has always had a knack for understanding how things work, whether it’s the logical structure of machines or the inner workings of the human mind. He holds a BSc degree from Lancaster University in computer science (with a minor in economics), as well as a graduate diploma in law awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University in 2005.

During his studies at Lancaster University, Mr De Vita became increasingly interested in psychology as he worked with technology. He reached the conclusion that the best tech isn’t defined by raw power but rather by its capacity to connect with the thought processes and needs of its users. To this end, Mr De Vita’s work – be it building a productivity tool or designing a seamless new user interface – is informed by his understanding of psychology.

Mr De Vita’s love of consumer electronics is a natural extension of his interest in the twin fields of tech and psychology. He is fascinated by such devices, as they blend the latest tech with the potential to positively impact the way we live. His background in computer science gives Mr De Vita a unique perspective on how consumer electronic devices function, while his interest in psychology allows him to see their broader impact on their users’ experiences and behaviours.

Mr De Vita enjoys a range of hobbies in his leisure time, including playing badminton and golf, traveling and reading. He cites his favourite book as The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis, a novel that takes the form of a series of letters from Screwtape, a senior demon, to his nephew, the junior tempter Wormwood.
